Marines with Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, participate in exercise "White Viper", which consists of multiple cold-weather combat contingencies in Camp Fuji, Japan and Sendai, Japan, Jan. 22-Feb. 23, 2018. The Marines in Charlie Company learned cold weather survival as well as several new combat related training missions and operations. As the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed Marine Expeditionary Unit, the 31st MEU provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations. Royal Thai, Republic of Korea and U.S. Marines helocast from an MV-22B Osprey Feb. 10, 2016 during Cobra Gold 16 in Thailand. This was one of the first times an Osprey has conducted helocasting. US Marines and Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditonary Unit conduct their Spring Patrol 2014. During the patrol the 31st MEU conducted theater security operations, amphibious integration training, certification exercise, Exercise SSang Yong 2014 and assisted in search and rescue efforts for the Korean Ferry 'Sewol'. U.S. Marines and sailors with Marine Medium Tilt-rotor Squadron (VMM-265) conduct flight operations off of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) in support of Exercise Ssang Yong 2014. All footage was captured from March 26 to April 4, 2014. Integrating with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's Battalion Landing Team, soldiers with Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force conducted an amphibious raid exercise alongside their Company F., BLT 2/1 counterparts here in Guam. The training evolution was part of the JGSDF's integration period with the MEU during the Marines' Fall Patrol deployment throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Following these integration events, distinguished members of both nations' militaries participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the South Pacific Memorial Peace Park, Sept. 23. LtGen.
