Petty Officer 3rd Class Ethan Speakman, corpsman with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is placed on an improvised stretcher by Philippine Marines during a bilateral combat livesaver class here, Oct. 12. The purpose of the day was for the participants to gain new techniques from each other as well as refresh on what previous knowledge they already had. The class was in support of the 31st MEU's Amphibious Landing Exercise, an an annually-scheduled exercise between the U.S. and Philippine forces, aimed at strengthening military-to-military interoperability and bilateral relationships.
