A Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear specialist with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, marks the area with confirmed hazardous material inside for disposal units here, Sept. 22. The CBRN element of the 31st MEU worked in conjunction with the Battalion Landing Team's Company G. during a helicopter-borne assault on a notional enemy-held town during the MEU's certification exercise while deployed throughout the Asia-Pacific region on the yearly-scheduled Fall Patrol. The 31st MEU is the only continuously forward-deployed MEU and is the Marine Corps' force in readiness for the Asia-Pacific region.
