A John Deere TRAM 624KR Tractor, Rubber Tired, Articulated Steering, Multi-purpose vehicle, operated by heavy equipment operator Lance Cpl. Carlos Perezfernandez with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and a native of West Covina, Calif., unloads a cement and dirt mixture during a humanitarian assistance exercise here, Sept. 23. The HA training operation was conducted during the 31st MEU's certification exercise, where the Marines and Sailors execute multi-national training scenarios throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The 31st MEU is the only continually forward-deployed MEU and is the Marine Corps' force in readiness in the Asia-Pacific region.
