U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Roen Algea, left, and Lance Cpl. Brady Badigian, both chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense specialists with CBRN Response Element, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct sensitive site assessment and exploitation training during a CRE exercise at Sam Hill Airfield, Queensland, Australia, June 20, 2025. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
