A U.S. Marine with Medium Marine Tilt Rotor Squadron 265 (VMM-265) Reinforced, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), views a CH-53E Super Stallion flying during a helicopter raid training exercise over Okinawa, Japan, May 25, 2021. The exercise prepared the Marines of Lima Company for potential future missions as the 31st MEU‘s helicopter raid force. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
