An explosive ordnance disposal technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 31 performs a post blast analysis during EOD exploitation training at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, March 1, 2018. CLB-31, the Logistics Combat Element for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, enables each element of the 31st MEU with logistical support, including EOD, motor transport and security, with an emphasis on humanitarian assistance-disaster relief. Marines used protective equipment and specialized tools to safely disassemble and destroy explosive ordnance. As the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, the 31 MEU provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
