Marines and Sailors of Company E., Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, provide security while evacuating casualties after an ambush during Talisman Saber 2013, here, July 23. Australian Army soldiers of the 7th Brigade are serving as the opposing force during the biennial training exercise which is designed to foster and sustain cooperative international relationships that enhance regional security, stability and prosperity. The 31st MEU is the Marine Corps’ force in readiness in the Asia-Pacific region and is the only continuously forward deployed MEU.
