Lance Cpl. Guy V. Goodpaster, a tactical switching operator for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, establishes a phone service and configures switches to run across a data network. The Marines tested equipment as part of a communications exercise in preparation for upcoming deployments in the Asia Pacific. The 31st MEU is the United States' force in readiness for the Asia Pacific and the Marine Corps' only continuously forward deployed MEU.
