The III Marine Expeditionary Force Band plays a pre-parade serenade prior to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's change of command ceremony at the Camp Hansen parade field, June 1. Command was passed from Col. Andrew MacMannis, who served as the unit's commander for two years, to Col. John Merna. The 31st MEU is the United States' force in readiness for the Asia-Pacific region.
