Kenneth Weeks (Left), the training non-commissioned officer for the command element communications office and a native of Drunswick, Ga., hold the national and Marine Corps colors as part of the color guard during the unit’s cake cutting ceremony for the Marine Corps’ 237th birthday here, Nov. 16. The 31st MEU is the Marine Corps’ force in readiness for the Asia-Pacific region and the only continuously forward deployed MEU.
