2nd Lt. Tuan Pham, a planner with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, looks over a map of disaster areas with a member of the local Japanese port authority, March 20, searching for potential landing sites which could be used for follow-on humanitarian aid operations. The 31st MEU is preparing to provide disaster relief as part of Operation Tomodachi, and is coordinating with the ongoing Japanese relief operation to determine what areas are in need of further assistance.
