Cpl. Brandon Unis, an infantryman with Company G., Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, provides security as a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter leaves the landing zone during an amphibious landing exercise, Feb. 10. The landing, carried out by the Republic of Korea Marines, Kingdom of Thailand forces and Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, took place during exercise Cobra Gold 2011. Cobra Gold improves participating nations’ ability to conduct relevant and dynamic training, while strengthening relationships between the militaries and local communities.
