A CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262 (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepares to land aboard the USS Essex (LHD 2). The helicopter operations were in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's certification exercise on the island of Okianwa Oct. 3. The 31st MEU, together with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, recently completed CERTEX and is preparing to conduct bilateral training and exercises in the Asia-Pacific region.
