Corporals Evan Nuzum and Alma Munoz, both avionics technicians from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 Reinforced (HMM-265 REIN), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), repair a connector with the control display unit of a UH-1N Twin Huey helicopter in the hangar bay aboard the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD-2), Jan. 26. The 31st MEU is currently conducting its Spring Patrol of the Asia-Pacific region and is scheduled to participate in exercise Cobra Gold 2010 (CG’ 10). The exercise is the latest in a continuing series of exercises designed to promote regional peace and security.
