31st Marine Expeditionary Unit Marines SPIE Rig Feb 12,2016 in Latowan, Thailand. SPIE stands for special purpose insert/extract and is used to insert or extract marines from dense jungle.

U.S., Thai and Republic of Korea Marines participated in Jungle Survival training Feb. 8, 2016 in Latowan, Thailand. The Marines are part of exercise Cobra Gold 16. CG 16 is the 35th iteration of Cobra Gold which provides a joint and combined task force venue to maintain readiness, while emphasizing security and humanitarian cooperation in the Pacific .
