U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Peter Ornelas, left, a transmissions system operator and Cpl. Osbaldo Lopez, a networks administrator both with Joint Task Force-Enabler, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, test an RT-2060 radio during a communication exercise on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, April 16, 2025. The exercise was conducted in order to allow the Marines to maintain and test equipment ensure reliability and readiness. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
