A Marine with the Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, rappels from the back of an MV-22 Osprey onto the port-side elevator of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) during a static fast-rope training event here, Mar. 1. The event was in preparation for certification exercises and also gave other Marines and sailors an opportunity to learn the skill. The 31st MEU is currently conducting amphibious integration training alongside Amphibious Squadron 11 while deployed for its regularly scheduled Spring Patrol.
