Officers and staff non-commissiond officers of Company G., Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, serve hot food to their Marines in the field here, July 27, after two weeks of eating Meals, Ready-to-Eat during exercise Talisman Saber 2013. Talisman Saber is a biennial training activity between the U.S. and Australian armed forces aimed at providing realistic and relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. The 31st MEU is the Marine Corps’ force in readiness for the Asia-Pacific region and the only continuously forward-deployed MEU.
