Lieutenant Gen. Kenneth J. Glueck Jr., commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force, speaks with Marines and Sailors of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit here, March 26. Glueck spoke to the audience about the role of the 31st MEU in the Asia-Pacific region, the reconstitution of III MEF assets and the importance of maintaining continual readiness in order to effectively respond to contingencies in the Western Pacific. The 31st MEU is the only continuously forward-deployed MEU and is the Marine Corps’ force in readiness in the Asia-Pacific region.
