U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Paul Frick/Released 111112-M-1234X-004.jpg
Nov 12, 2011
Capt. Matthew C. Frick, the adjutant for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, speaks to a group of embassy staff and Marine security guards during a Marine Corps ball here, Nov. 12. Frick was asked to be the guest speaker at the embassy because of how closely the 31st MEU works with embassies in its area of operations. While at the embassy, Frick was able to tour the local city, meet the ambassador, and speak with Marines one-on-one. “There are six Marines there and everybody seemed to really care about them, they were a really tight knit group and all the people wanted to do was take pictures of the Marines and talk to them,” said Frick. “It was probably the best ball I have been to my entire career.”
