U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Elaina M. Rojas, a radio operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, educates Australian Army soldier Pvt. Joshua Watson, a cook with 11 Combat Service Support Battalion, on the M16 A4 service rifle during a live fire exercise conducted by Marines with Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Battalion Landing Team, 31st MEU, and Australian Army soldiers in Queensland, Australia, in support of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2011. TS11 demonstrates the United States and Australian commitment to their military alliance, and enhances stability and security throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The 31st MEU is the only continually forward-deployed MEU, and remains the nation's force-in-readiness in the Asia-Pacific region.
