Lieutenant Colonel Jones is a native of Birmingham, AL. She graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South with a BA in History.
She commissioned in 2008. After The Basic School, she was assigned to Logistics Operations School where she attained the Military Occupational Specialty of Logistics Officer.
Lieutenant Colonel Jones received orders to Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and served as the Maintenance Management Officer, S-4 Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer, deploying three times throughout the Pacific.
In June of 2011, Lieutenant Colonel Jones returned to CLB-4 and filled the billet of Motor Transport Company Executive Officer. She deployed with the unit in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Helmand Province, Afghanistan from January to August 2012.
In October 2012 she reported to Recruit Training Regiment, MCRD Parris Island. While at Parris Island she served as a Series Commander, Company Executive Officer, and Company Commander at 4th Battalion during her three years.
From 2015 to 2016, Lieutenant Colonel Jones attended Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, VA. From school she received order to 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC. She was assigned as the Plans Officer within the Operations section of the G-4.
In June 2018, Lieutenant Colonel Jones received orders to 6th Marine Corps District to be the S-4 where she served for three years. She was then selected to serve as a Recruiting Station Commanding Officer at Recruiting Station Tampa. She served in this role from June 2021 to June 2023 after which she attended Marine Corps Command and Staff College.
In July 2024, Lieutenant Colonel Jones received order to Combat Logistics Regiment 37 and served as the Executive Officer.
Lieutenant Colonel Jones is married to Lieutenant Colonel Bradley Jones of Salem, OR. He is currently serving as the Plans Officer in the III MEF G-4. They have two daughters Louise and Millicent.
