The Marines used a MK-105 cable, also known as the Q-tip, to hook the load onto the bottom of the Huey. The Marines were conducting the training with members of the Philippine Armed Forces during the Amphibious Landing Exercise. For three decades, Thailand has hosted Cobra Gold, one of the largest land-based, joint, combined military training exercises in the world.
