Ocean swells break over the side of the USNS Walter S. Diehl, a fleet replenishment oiler, as it refuels the USS Bonhomme Richard during a replenishment at sea operation, Oct. 4. Unable to break from at-sea maneuvers, a RAS allows the ship to restock in fuel, food and other supplies. The USS Bonhomme Richard is currently on deployment throughout the Asia-Pacific region with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the three ships of the Amphibious Squadron's Amphibious Ready Group.
