A Marine with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, scans through the dense Thai foliage while on patrol during exercise Cobra Gold 2011, Feb. 15. The bilateral patrol exercise was conducted to familiarize Marines with patrolling in a jungle environment. Thailand is one of the United States’ five major allies in the region, and that partnership has helped keep this region secure and stable.
